All this and much more is now closer than ever thanks to a slate of new nonstop flights from MKE. Beginning May 16, Frontier Airlines will operate three nonstop flights per week to Philadelphia and Raleigh-Durham, and beginning June 8, Southwest will start weekly nonstop flights to San Diego. It’s the perfect time of year to start planning a summer getaway, and getting there is even easier thanks to these additional great options departing right here from our hometown airport. Have you used MKE’s Water Refill Stations?There’s nothing worse than getting to the front of the security line only to realize you still have a half full water bottle in your bag that needs to be tossed. That’s not an issue for passengers at MKE, though! Each of our TSA Checkpoints is equipped with special recycling stations for you to dump extra liquids, and every concourse has three water filling stations to help you fill your bottle back up. So hang onto those empty plastic bottles and refill them before your flight. Not only is that super convenient, but it minimizes waste and is great for the environment, too! Sunflowers are Always in Bloom at MKEThe Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a discreet way for anyone impacted by a non-visible disability to signal that they may need some extra time, understanding, or support. Not all disabilities are visible or obvious to others, and nobody deserves to be questioned about their needs simply because their disability isn’t visibly apparent. MKE, along with more than 200 other airports worldwide, is a member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program. Adults and children traveling through MKE can pick up a special sunflower lanyard at the Airport Information desk in the main terminal. These lanyards discreetly signify to employees that a passenger that may need extra assistance, support, or even just some more time. We encourage any passenger who would benefit from the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program to pick up a lanyard at MKE and wear it throughout their journey, including at other participating airports.
