EUPAVE releases leaflet on Safe, Robust and Sustainable Road Restraint Systems

EUPAVE is pleased to announce the publication of its leaflet "Safe, Robust and Sustainable Road Restraint Systems - the case for Concrete Safety Barriers", prepared by the Concrete Safety Barriers Working Group.
The leaflet explains how CSBs, both precast and in-situ, contribute to the climate neutrality and circularity goals of the European Green Deal. 
Last but not least, it highlights the robustness of CSBs: the guaranteed performance independent of the substructure, the minimal maintenance and repair and the long service life.

MnDOT Investigates Low GWP Concrete for Sustainable Paving

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) along with the National Road Research Alliance, has launched a pioneering study to explore alternative concrete paving mixtures aimed at reducing the global warming potential (GWP) during construction while maintaining or exceeding the long-term performance of conventional mixtures.
