After a rain-induced delay from the previous week, the Men returned with zeal for their quarter-final clashes. aLAS, it saw the end of the road for Balmoral, East Tāmaki, Royal Oak, and the hosts Howick. The excitement escalated with the Women and Any Combination divisions joining the fray as the semi-finals rolled on. In the Men's contest, Pt Chevalier Pirates triumphed 7-1 over Blockhouse Bay, while Auckland Originals secured their final spot with a 6-3 victory against Mt Albert Lions in a fierce semi-final. Last Sunday, our Auckland 1-5 Rep team brought the heat to the Quad 2 Series, leaving their mark with an outstanding performance against Northland, North Harbour and Waikato! The Men kicked off the action with a nail-biting 2-1 win against Waikato, proving their mettle in a fierce battle. They then showed their dominance with a resounding 2.5 vs 0.5 victory over Northland and a flawless 3-0 triumph over North Harbour. Way to go, gentlemen! Rolling towards success!Bowls Auckland has set an ambitious goal of involving 5,000 Auckland students in bowls. Rangatahi Roll Up has been embraced by several schools, including Auckland Girls Grammar, Selwyn College, Ōtāhuhu College, Mt Albert Grammar, and Rutherford College. Designed to introduce bowls in a lively and sociable setting, the programme offers flexibility, accommodating sessions during school hours, lunch breaks, or after school.
