A clinical researcher's week-long process for de-identifying data now runs in four hours. A medical team sorting through hundreds of variables to find one data point has a system that does it automatically — with 92% accuracy. These aren’t pilot programs or proofs of concept. They’re six open-source AI solutions completed in the first year of the University of Pittsburgh Cloud Innovation Center (CIC), powered by AWS — all built by Pitt student interns working alongside faculty and staff to solve real problems for stakeholders in health sciences and athletics.
