ISSUE 9 TAS E ALERT -  SEPT 2022
Bringing you short, sharp and time critical industry updates.
New .au Domain name changes could leave your business or organisation at risk – Register by 20th September 2022

You may not be aware but .au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) has been endorsed by the Australian Government to handle the administration of the new .au domain name which is now available to businesses and organisations.  Thus, if you have a .com.au or .org.au domain name for example for your organisation you can now obtain the simple .au suffix.  Under the published rules you can apply for a Priority Allocation for your .au domain but you must do so by 20th September 2022.

If you do not register the .au Priority Allocation by 20th September it will become available to the general public.

As per the advisory government link  this could leave your organisation open to fraudulent cyber activity.  We at The Association Specialists therefore strongly advise all organisations to apply for the Priority Allocation of their .au domain name as soon as possible and before September 20th 2022.

To apply for the .au domain name for your organisation you will need to follow the advice in this link, which we strongly recommend you read.

You will also find useful information in the fact sheets below.  You may also find the  link to the list of accredited registrars of use.

If you are a current client of The Association Specialists and require assistance with the registration of your .au domain name please contact your administrator as soon as possible.
