Putting The Creek Back In Cherry Creek

One of our principles guiding our vision for Cherry Creek West is to connect our community to the creek. 

Over the past couple of months, as part of the Large Development Review (LDR) process, we have been working with the City to understand our collective goal of truly embracing the creek and how we can be a catalyst for that. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to meet with City representatives from the planning, infrastructure and parks departments, as well as the Mile High Flood District. 

We learned a lot of interesting facts about:

• Restoring and enhancing the natural beneficial function of a creek
• Ecological considerations including water quality, trees, wildlife and native landscaping
• A recent project the City is excited about as a different section of the Cherry Creek waterway gets an update

Through all of this, we have made incredible progress on understanding the City's objectives as they relate to ours. We are also excited that Cherry Creek West can help be part of the solution. 

We look forward to our continued collaboration with the City, and others, on this important community asset.
