Celebrating the career of Monica Farley, MD

At the end of this month, Monica M. Farley, MD, Director of the Division of Infectious Disease, Jonas A. Shulman Professor of Medicine, and previously a Staff Physician at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, will be retiring. We thank her for her time and dedication after an impressive 40-year career at Emory University, the Atlanta VA Medical Center, and Emory Healthcare. After retiring, Dr. Farley plans to travel, catch up on reading, do volunteer work, spend less time at a computer, and spend a lot more time with her family, including her four young grandsons.

To celebrate her remarkable career and many invaluable contributions to ID, the Division of Infectious Diseases hosted a retirement ceremony to honor Dr. Farley's leadership and legacy at Emory. This reception was held last Thursday, August 15, at HSRB II. It was a special evening, and we wish Dr. Farley a fantastic and relaxing retirement!
