He is fast learning the club's popularity, fielding countless corporate event bookings. He said, "The club is a big part of the local community, so I'm excited about its potential. As we look to the future, one focus area for me will be to modernise our operational capability." Blue Waters supporting local communitiesClubs are the lifeblood of bowls, and most can’t survive solely on members' subscriptions or bar revenue to operate successfully. One way of providing vital income is through the various gaming funders. The next time you are at your club, look around, it is quite likely that in some way or another, a project such as a new green, kitchen upgrade or something similar at a club would have been completed via the support of such funders. The purpose of Bowls NZ Twilight Bowls League is to showcase the diversity of our sport and for clubs to be able to encourage new members with their own twilight bowls, so there are a variety of players chosen to compete. Overall there are eight different Pairs teams participating in the league, with every night featuring four combination teams battling it out for that evening's supremacy. There's still plenty of time to get along to Royal Oak Bowls to watch these teams in action!
Good luck...Saturday is the first round of Interclub Pennants and Half Day 6s, This club vs club competition is bound to bring the best out of bowlers, so all the best and good luck to everyone playing. If you get the chance get along to support your club and team.
