Despite rainy skies, the 2024 Paul W. Seavey Lectureship in General Internal Medicine attracted a crowd to see President of Spelman College Helene Gayle, MD, PH, in conversation with James W. Curran Dean of Public Health M. Danielle Fallin, PhD. Board of Health. Liver Clinic/Grady GIM faculty Dr. Sarah Koumtouzoua, Dr. Jennifer Lom, and Dr. Natasha Travis were speakers at the event which was attended by 70 people virtually and in person and was a great success! Liver Clinic faculty also recently completed the first pilot study in the US of a point-of-care HCV RNA testing device and they are currently participating in a multisite study evaluating the device which will inform its FDA approval.
