After a wonderful, but hectic summer, it's now quietening down slightly as we head into Autumn. One of the benefits of this is we can now offer shorter lead times when booking in for work in both our main service workshop and our coach trimming workshop. It also gives a little more time for thinking about and planning next year - quite a momentous one as it will be our Centenary! More details nearer the time...
There are a couple of snippets of news from both Morgan and Lotus.
News from Morgan is that limited numbers of new Roadsters and Plus 4s will be allowed into the USA (previously, 3 Wheelers were the only new Morgans permitted). An exciting opportunity for Morgan as there's a lot of interest in the cars in the States. One slightly quirky requirement is that the cars are imported without engines or gearboxes... these will then be fitted in the USA.
Whilst on the Lotus front, there are reports in the press of a potential £1.5 billion investment by parent company Geely. If it happens, that will make for rather interesting times at Lotus! To read more about this on the Autocar website, click on Geely Investment

Breakfast Club

Our very successful Breakfast Clubs have been running for nearly 6 years. They take place on the first Saturday of the month, starting at 9:30am with bacon rolls and hot drinks, followed by a motoring themed talk or workshop
For our next breakfast club on Saturday 6th October, we're delighted to welcome Martin Hughes from East Anglian Air Ambulance. Martin will be talking about the vital work this Helicopter Emergency Medical Service does across the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.

Our used cars come fully serviced, HPI checked, have a new MOT (if applicable), and if sold for use in the UK have a 3 month warranty.

Project work

Sorry to bring up the subject of winter, but if you're thinking of taking your car off the road for its duration, and are also pondering some upgrade or project work during this period, now's a good time to start planning.
Both our workshop and trimshop enjoy winter and the different type of work it can bring. The amount of routine servicing we do reduces, and the restoration or upgrade type work - always more challenging, but always interesting - tends to take over.
If you'd like to talk through any project work you might have in mind, be it to do yourself, or ask us to do, then please don't hesitate to get in contact. We're always happy to give advice and talk through options, and very importantly, provide an idea on costs.
