Preparing for Open Enrollment

The benefits open enrollment period will be here before you know it! To help you prepare for a smooth and seamless enrollment, you are encouraged to review this checklist to ensure you are prepared.

  • Confirm that your personal information and emergency contact information is up to date in Pitt Worx (check out these self-service employee guides to learn how to make updates).
  • Review your current benefits elections and FSA elections to determine if they’re still right for you (information for the new plan year will be available in April!).
  • If you plan to add new dependents during open enrollment, gather all of the info you’ll need in advance. This includes the dependent’s full name, date of birth, gender, social security number, and supporting documentation based on your relationship with the dependent.
  • Review the benefits enrollment overview to familiarize yourself with the step-by-step process for enrolling.
  • As a reminder, if you do not plan to make changes to your elections during open enrollment, no action is needed from you! Your current elections will carry over into the new plan year.

Learn more about the benefits available to you by visiting the benefits section on the OHR website.
