Prayer Request
Pray for our newest savings group partnerships in South Asia, Guatemala, and Peru. Pray for HOPE staff as they travel to these partners and train them to launch savings groups within their ministry contexts. Pray that the women and men who join these groups would find meaningful friendships and build savings to provide for their families.
Thank God for the 128 new savings groups formed by our savings groups partner, the Anglican Diocese of Kitgum in northern Uganda. Through these groups, the diocese is serving over 2,500 members in a part of the country where longstanding conflict from 1987 through 2006 destroyed infrastructure, reduced access to social services, and stunted economic growth. Praise God that these savings groups have trained members to already save a combined equivalent of $38,000 (U.S.) and loan each other the equivalent of $33,000.
