Please use this much-deserved day off to rest and recharge. Have a safe and happy holiday! Congratulations to our graduates and departing chiefs! Congratulations to our graduating chiefs and residents! To commemorate the accomplishments and hard work of these individuals, the J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency hosted its Senior Banquet for all those who are graduating, as well as the Annual Chief's Roast and Toast to the 2023–2024 Chief Residents, Alisha Arora, Martin Campbell, Alvaro Ceballos, Charlie Fortin-Leung, Dee Gill, and Alex Matelski. During the roast, faculty and fellows were acknowledged with awards for their pivotal contributions to the residents' educational and professional journey. “This class has demonstrated incredible dedication,” says Reena Hemrajani, MD, Program Director, J Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency Program. “We’re thankful for the time they spent with us, and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors.” Please join us in celebrating and congratulating this accomplished group of physicians as they finish their residencies. Welcome to our 2024 Intern Class Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our 2024 residency interns! On Thursday, June 20, our Intern Orientation was held, which officially marked the beginning of their intern year and their journey as residents! As part of orientation, our interns toured the civil rights history right here in Atlanta! They went on a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. walking tour, learning about the city's rich history, and the communities we serve. To our residents, we're thrilled you've joined the Emory Department of Medicine family and look forward to working with you! New Forms for Communications and Web Edit Requests Due to Emory’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) implementation of Qualtrics as the university’s official online survey tool, the Department of Medicine has changed from using Formstack forms to now utilizing Qualtrics for our communications request form and web edit request form. While updating these forms, we have improved them by asking more specific questions about your request, which will help us better serve your needs. DOM users making communications or web edit requests will see very few changes to our current process. However, you will notice that instead of an embedded form, you will click a link and be sent to an external Qualtrics survey to submit your request form. You can find these new forms on our DOM communications intranet page HERE. We are always happy to meet with you and your team to discuss a communications strategy and implementation for your project, event, or announcement once a form has been submitted and we have evaluated your request. The details requested on these forms are needed to begin a consultation, strategy session, or plan with DOM Marketing and Communications. As usual, we do our best to complete all requests on a timely basis. If you have any questions, please contact DOM Senior Marketing Manager Sarah Jones or Communications Specialist Chandler Baltimore.
