The world's largest gathering of aviators is just a few weeks away. EAA Airventure is back at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, July 24-30, celebrating 70 years of EAA. The milestone also marks 70 years since the first EAA fly-in took place right here at Timmerman Airport in Milwaukee.
What started as meeting of a handful of airplanes has grown into a massive gathering of hundreds of thousands of pilots and aviation enthusiasts. This year's event is jam packed with unique aircraft and exciting shows.
Some 2023 highlights include an honor flight flown by American Airlines, NASA's Super Guppy oversized-cargo aircraft, and numerous military aircraft including C-130 gunships, Navy F-18 and F-35, MIG-17, MIG-29, F-18 Superhornet, Piper L4, and more. Boeing Plaza will feature several large aircraft including the Dreamlifter, a modified 747 turned cargo plane. Daily air shows will run from 2:30-6:30PM Monday-Saturday and 1:00-4:00PM on Sunday. Public flights will be available on a B-25, B-29, B-17 and more.
