No images? Click here Hello from the BLBCAAs we worked on creating the latest edition of our Mountain Escapes, I was again reminded how very lucky we are to live where we do. British Columbia is truly a remarkable place and I have been particularly fortunate to have spent so much of my life in BC's inimitable backcountry environment. Where else in the world can one have such relatively easy access to pristine wilderness, wildlife and amazing mountain vistas? I often watch Destination BC's "The Wild Within" as inspiration to start my day. The important responsibility we all carry is that we need to enjoy this fragile environment in a responsible manner. This gift that nature has allowed us to enjoy is not a commodity for us to exploit, rather something for us respect and nurture. Participants in our upcoming photo contest are asked to include tips on how they are helping to sustain our natural environment. The BLBCA and its members are committed to leaving as small a footprint as possible, while allowing guests to immerse themselves in the
wonders of Take good care. Sincerely, Brad Harrison Executive Director, Backcountry Lodges of BC Association Let Us Guide the Way for Your Next Stay!
