Hopefully you're settling into the semester now, finding your way around campus and having the first tutorials and workshops for the year.

If you're studying in semester 1, remember that the last day to to add or swap classes in Access Adelaide is March 15 - so make sure your enrolments are finalised by then.

Compostable packaging on yellow background

Did you know campus food packaging is compostable?

All food packaging from campus eateries, including coffee cups, is 100% compostable; it completely breaks down into non-toxic components in a commercial composting facility. So if you purchase food from a campus cafe, please recycle the packaging in a green organics bins. Find out more on the ecoversity website.

You may be interested in the Adelaide Graduate Award! Please note that if you're in the final year of your degree, then you need to register, complete the orientation and submit your activity plan by 15 March - so find out more and apply now on the Award's website!

Kickstart 2022 as a Student Experience Director (SED)

Want to boost your resume? Make amazing friends? You'll do this and more by joining the Adelaide University Union's 8-month SED program. Get the opportunity to assist with marketing and management of major events, and learn new skills through a series of industry-based workshops. Apply here before Friday 11 March

Next week, you may notice auditors in your class

The annual audit of teaching spaces is March 15 - 21, where auditors visit teaching areas to count the number of students inside. They count every hour, and the data helps the University plan for future teaching space needs. Audit staff wear ID and will be as unobtrusive as possible.

Confident Communication in Challenging Situations – international student workshop

Learn how to deal with challenging real-life scenarios with increased confidence and skills, and how to communicate safely and assertively. Topics include:

Understanding your preferred communication style
Options for being more assertive and constructive when communicating
Managing your emotions in pressure situations

2022 Women in Sport brunch
17 March, 9:30am - National Wine Centre
Join us for brunch and bubbly to celebrate women in sport and discuss the challenges they face. This thought-provoking discussion features a diverse range of speakers, including alumni, athletes, coaches and media personnel.
