Karinya News - June 2025
Dear Friends of Karinya
Here we are in frosty June, and we can not quite believe the year is half finished!
As always, the last few weeks have been very busy here at Karinya House as we have bid farewell to a handful of women and have been busily preparing to welcome several more residents to the facility over the coming weeks. We are so grateful to have a team of such dedicated, compassionate and knowledgeable Care Team staff to walk alongside each of these women as they navigate these big transitions.
We have also been very busy with work behind the scenes. Across the months of April and May, all of the Karinya staff and Committee have been involved in planning for the next Karinya House Strategic Plan, which will guide the organisation's work for the next five years until 2030. This is an important step in our journey as an organisation and we are so grateful to have the wonderful pro-bono support of long-term friends of Karinya House, Shelley Thomson of Patient Experience Agency and Chris Nightingale of Ponda Consulting to guide us through this process. We will spend the next few months finalising the plan, which will be available on our website later this year.
As always, we extend a sincere thanks to all of our wonderful supporters in the Karinya Village and we acknowledge each and every contribution that is made by volunteers and donors.
