Beau Miles is an award winning filmmaker and university educator, whose offbeat stories centre around sustainability in the everyday, exemplify a curious view of the human condition and inspiring personal action. This Friday, 11 March, is a rare (and FREE) opportunity to see this inspirationally weird human in real life and watch some of his newest and most hilarious short films. Be prepared to laugh your socks off and leave with a new take on the world around you. If you are interested in what you can do in the world of sustainability or simply need a positive boost, this one is for you! Attendees are very welcome to BYO food, and beverages, and camp chairs. Please help keep this event sustainable and avoid single-use plastics. The Coal Loader Artisans Market will return on Sunday, 31 May, 9am to 3pm. This ever-popular market offers people an opportunity to purchase sustainable and original handmade products directly from artists and makers, while enjoying the atmosphere of the beautiful and historic site. This popular wooden throwing game has its origins in Finland. It is easy to learn, open to all abilities, and all ages are welcome to participate. Teams of two must be registered (and pay a small admin fee to Finska Australia) but spectators are free to attend with or without tickets. Join our wonderful volunteer guides on the first Saturday of every month, 10:30am, for a free, drop-in, tour. Aboriginal history and cultural tours will also be returning once a season, led by Koori Kinnections and the Aboriginal Heritage Office.
