Mike Priddy is on the move!-- Alastair McKenzie Regretfully Royal Oak shares the news of the resignation of our popular Secretary Manager, Mike Priddy. Mike has been an invaluable asset to our club, dedicating his time, effort, and expertise over the past two years. Mike has decided to pursue an exciting opportunity as General Manager at Huapai Golf Club. While we are sad to see him go, we also understand and support his decision to take on this new challenge. Mike's last day with us will be Friday, 8 March, which will undoubtedly be an occasion to gather to express our gratitude, bid farewell, and wish Mike all the best in his future endeavours. Thanks to Mike for his dedication to the Royal Oak Club. His contributions have left a lasting impact, and he will be truly missed. We now begin the process of finding a suitable replacement to continue the excellent work Mike has done for our club. Thrills & spills at Triples and SinglesPringle Park recently lit up with the crackling energy of competition as it proudly hosted its first Bowls Auckland Centre event in years. Amidst the backdrop of a newly laid green, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement as players and spectators alike immersed themselves in a weekend of thrilling matches. AGGs having a blast!Auckland Girls Grammar students are lapping up the fun of lawn bowls action! Groups from AGGs turned up to not one but two Bowls Auckland secondary school sessions on Tuesday. First, it was a lunchtime rollup right at their school. Then, later in the day, another group headed over to the Rangatahi Blast at New Lynn Bowling Club – six teams of Triples showed up ready and eager to play. Safe to say, these AGG students are totally into bowls! Bowls 3Five qualifiersThat’s round play done and dusted! It was a perfect evening for the final round, and the competition was as fierce as ever! With some notable shifts in the standings, it's time to unveil the qualifiers! But we'll have to wait until the live draw at the Finals, 5:30pm on Tuesday, 20 February – hosted at Auckland Bowling Club. Games will kick off promptly at 5:45 pm.
