We are pleased to welcome four new associate members and five new partners. We thank France Ciment, Forta Corp LLC, Premcrete, Miller Formless, Colas Noord, Stadsbader, Willemen Infra, Besix Infra and Aannemingen Sico for their trust and we look forward to working closely together with each of them. EUPAVE now has 44 members & partners, the most we've ever had. We also launched our Manifesto, held a Best Practices Workshop and a Webinar, both of which were very successful. The second half of the year looks equally busy. We're planning our EU debate and we'll be publishing key documents such as our factsheet on the economics of concrete paving, a leaflet on concrete safety barriers and our 2024-2030 Strategic Plan. We're also starting to prepare for our 2025 events. But for now, we wish everyone a happy and relaxing summer! Reflective pavements, a vital solution to combat extreme heat in cities Extreme heat is the deadliest natural hazard in the United States, and its impact is felt most acutely in urban areas. Cities, where vast expanses of pavement absorb and retain heat, experience exacerbated temperatures, leading to severe health risks. To mitigate this, experts suggest the adoption of reflective pavements, which can significantly reduce local temperatures and alleviate the effects of extreme heat write Hessam Azarijafari, Ronnen Levinson and Andrew Laurent for The Hill.
