Facility updates: Construction continues on the Biomedical Research Facility as mechanical and electrical work is ongoing and dry walling and painting have resumed after various labour disruptions.

Announcement: Dr. Shelley McKellar has been reappointed as the AMS-endowed Hannah Chair in the History of Medicine.

Announcement: Drs. Craig Campbell and Ram Singh have been reappointed Co-Chair/Chiefs of the Department of Paediatrics.

Funding: Dr. Arlene MacDougall, Gerald McKinley, PhD and Abe Oudshoorn, PhD, received funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for projects exploring youth mental health, non-suicidal self injury and homelessness.

Announcement: Dr. George Kim has been appointed as the Associate Dean, Admissions.

Funding: Funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada will support 22 projects at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, ranging from artificial hip joints to brain imaging.

Funding: Nathalie Bérubé’s project to help improve memory in children with intellectual disability is one of several research projects that received more than $7.6 million in funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

Announcement: Dr. Shawn Steele has been appointed as Assistant Dean, Learner Experience, Dentistry.
