ISO 20252 PREFERRED SUPPLIERS FOR 2022

ADIA’s commitment to ensuring that members remain informed and protected to provide clients with the highest quality assurance and risk mitigation level continues in 2022.

With the transition to the ISO 20252:2019 standard complete, ADIA conducted a recent industry review of the management of the ISO Standard to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

It was a timely exercise that resulted in the following outcomes:

  • The review and recognition of the following three preferred ISO certification companies for 2022 (in alpha order):
  1. ISO Audit Solutions - Lead auditor is Elissa Molloy
  2. ISO Experts - Lead auditors are Terry Dold and Robert Capozzi
  3. Star Mark Certification Global - Lead auditor is Anthea Duke.
  • The introduction of a standardised audit fee schedule and auditor reporting tools to ensure subsidised member fees remain in place and technical compliance is retained.
  • The introduction of an annual technical review program designed to manage the certification process performance and maintain a consistent best-practice approach across our membership.

PRIVACY ACT REVIEW SUBMISSION

In December 2019, the Attorney-General announced that the Australian Government would review the Privacy Act 1988 to ensure privacy settings empower consumers, protect their data, and best serve the Australian economy.

As part of that review, the AG's office released a discussion paper seeking further feedback on potential changes to the Act.

To further support our members' ongoing commitment to privacy and best practice - working under Australia's first and only registered APP industry privacy code, which goes above minimal privacy legislation - ADIA responded to the discussion paper highlighting areas of proposed reform that impact ADIA member practices. In summary, these areas include the Objects of the Privacy Act, the definition of personal information, and the current small business exemption. Read the complete submission below.
