Undergraduate Advising Office

To streamline the advising experience for our students, we will be implementing a new advising model beginning this fall term: you now have the option to schedule with any advisor whose availability best fits your schedule.

We recognize that our students have a wide variety of needs and scheduling commitments, and this process will provide students added flexibility to meet those needs. Instead of working with just one advisor, you’ll have direct access to the entire psychology advising team! If you prefer to continue to work directly with your previously assigned advisor, no worries! You’ll still have the option to schedule with them.

As always, you will still be required to connect with a psychology advisor prior to enrolling for courses each term. Options will include (1) an online form, (2) a Zoom call, or (3) face-to-face meeting in the Advising Office.

We are confident that this new process will greatly benefit our psychology majors and empower you to continue to make the most informed decisions but with greater access to our team.

Panthers Forward is a new model for reducing the burden of student debt while supporting student success. Launched by the University of Pittsburgh, this model involves reducing a participating student’s federal loan balance and connecting each student participant with Pitt alumni to offer a supportive professional development network. In return, participants are encouraged to “pay-it-forward” to the program after they graduate so that other students have an opportunity to receive the same kind of support.
