Beginning on Tuesday, February 20, we will proceed with targeted chlorination on floors 10 to 16 throughout next week. Based on improving test results, our water consultants and development partners believe they are close to eliminating total coliform bacteria on all floors and that another round of chlorination is the best way to resolve this issue. Impacted residents have been notified about temporary relocation plans and we appreciate their ongoing understanding. Our development partners and water consultants have also confirmed that water is contained within plumbing zones, eliminating the potential for contamination or chlorination from floors 10 to 16 crossing into lower floors or higher floors. We continue to work closely with our development partner, Knightstone Capital Management, water consultants, and Hamilton Public Health, to ensure we have a building-wide solution as soon as possible. We will continue to offer bottled water to all residents in the building as we work towards fully resolving this issue. We truly appreciate your patience and look forward to sharing more positive news with you soon. We will share another update with all residents on Wednesday, February 21. Please get in touch with 10Bayres@mcmaster.ca, if you have any questions or concerns. Kind Regards, Housing & Conference Services |
