The Soil Carbon IRC is already one year old!

The Soil Carbon International Research Consortium (IRC) on soil carbon was officially launched one year ago. This was a milestone in itself, bringing the Soil Carbon IRC – and soil health – into the discourse around EU and international climate priorities. A lot can happen in a year. Here is a snapshot of key milestones and next steps.

Advancing Soil Health in Mediterranean African Countries

The Soil Carbon IRC team took part in the “International 4 per 1000 Mediterranean Regional Conference 2024” held from 22–25 October 2024 in Rabat, Morocco.

Policy workshop in Brussels

Last September, the Soil Carbon IRC organised its first policy workshop in the Belgian capital to discuss carbon certification and the European Carbon Removals Certification Framework (CRCF).
