Institut für Stahlbetonbewehrung release “Life cycle cost analysis of continuously reinforced concrete pavements (CRCP) – a comparative study”The German Institut for steel reinforcement (IZB) recently released a publication on LCCA of CRCP. The publication, drafted by our partner Anne Beeldens (AB Roads) goes through the definition of CRCP, its life cycle cost analysis and the results of the study. Multiple European and American concrete overlay experiences presented during EUPAVE workshopOn Wednesday 19th October 2022, EUPAVE held at Hôtel Le Châtelain in Brussels its 7th workshop on Best Practices in Concrete Paving. It was also the right opportunity to present EUPAVE's recently published Guide for Design of Concrete Overlays. EUPAVE at bauma 2022After 3.5 challenging years, bauma 2022 was once again the centre of the construction machinery industry. The world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment was held from 24 to 30 October 2022 in Munich. This year, bauma was all about digitalisation and sustainability. New NCHRP Report on Evaluation of Bonded Concrete Overlays on Asphalt Pavements The TRB National Cooperative Highway Research Program’s NCHRP Research Report 1007: Evaluation of Bonded Concrete Overlays on Asphalt Pavements documents BCOA practices through a literature review and agency survey; documents performance through site investigations that assessed in-service design, construction, performance, preservation, and rehabilitation; and compares the results of current design methods with actual performance. Cement Australia Reduces Emissions in QLDThe sunshine state is getting even brighter thanks to the new Cross River Rail project. Made up of 10.2 km of rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD, the project aims to transform the way Queenslanders travel across the whole of South East Queensland.
