The Business Wodonga Connection May 20th, 2022 No images? Click here Message from CEOHello Members. A rhetorical question I have been asking myself over the past few days is:
My immediate and personal answer is no. At least we have the basic freedoms to live our lives that we desperately wanted, travel, shop, play sport, all those normal activities of daily life. Yes, there are definite downsides. We are probably all working longer hours, still stressed and challenged in so many ways. Not many business owners probably included a pandemic as a potential risk when weighing up self-employment. I find myself surrounded by resilient and outstanding business owners that continually impress and amaze me with their drive, determination and adaptability. So for that and many other reasons, I would rather be here & now in 2022 than go back to the darker days of 2020 & 2021. We had a very informative luncheon meeting hosted by Mondo Energy this week at TAFE’s Valleys Restaurant. Project Edge is a local energy marketplace trial that could save you up to 50% on the cost of a new solar & battery installation with even more longer benefits to you post the trial period. If you didn’t attend the lunch, you can find more information here: https://mondo.com.au/edge The last few tickets are still available for Business After Hours next Wednesday evening at Church Street Hotel, where we will be celebrating with Squad Recruitment. They have had forty years of being in business and supporting others in the local community. Book today, or you will most likely miss out. On June 7, we have our annual “Lunch with the Mayor” Members Meeting at La Maison, and bookings are now open on our website on the Events Page. Enjoy your coming week – footy tipsters, we have another spot prize this round, courtesy of Jedda at That Little Place.
