It has been incredible to see how many of our students and staff have responded; by creating new ways to connect with each other and by progressing their research in novel and unanticipated ways. We finish the year grateful that we are once again able to welcome our international and interstate students to Adelaide. To our continuing students, many of whom have waited nearly two years to continue their studies here in Adelaide, welcome home. To our new students who will now be able to travel to Adelaide to start their research journey, welcome to this new and exciting next part of your life. We can’t wait to see you all on campus soon. Many people play an important role in supporting our HDR students and I sincerely thank all of our supervisors, postgraduate coordinators, and HDR convenors, who have continued to go above and beyond to support our students throughout prolonged times of uncertainty. I would also like to acknowledge all other professional and academic staff and our industry mentors whose continued efforts ensure our HDR students feel at home here at the university and are able to experience and achieve what they have set out to do. Thank you also to all of our students who encourage and look after each other. I know that many who have not been able to visit their families in recent years have been able to lean on their fellow students as their family away from home. Importantly, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Adelaide Graduate Centre staff, under the inspiring leadership of Dr Doreen Krumbiegel. I have had the privilege of working with this hard-working team for only a few short weeks; and to witness their immense care for, and tireless support of, our students is remarkable. Congratulations again on winning the University Outstanding Achievement Award for Enhanced Student Experience recently; a highly deserved recognition of your student-centred approach and efforts. Professor Carolin Plewa Tip of the Month With the world slowing down over the next couple of weeks, please remember that as an HDR student, you can take up to 4 weeks of annual leave per year. 2021 has been another challenging year - we all need time to relax and recharge! Being Well, Living Well You can enrol in a new wellbeing program in MyUni – the postgrad specific module in Strand 1 (Living Well) takes anywhere from 15-60 minutes to complete depending on the level of engagement with the resources. Course enrolment can be found here. Multi Factor Authentication login for HDR Online enrolment form The login process for our HDR Online enrolment form system has now changed over to the new Multi Factor Authentication (Okta) process. Most staff already have Okta MFA and will be familiar with the login screen. You can set up and modify your Okta MFA account options here, and more information about multi-factor authentication is available here. If you experience any issues with login or registration, please contact ITDS Service desk on 08 8313 3000 or servicedesk@adelaide.edu.au.
