Some reminders of the amazing term we have shared. Dear Brookes Westshore Families and Friends, The school’s gym buzzed with energy as staff and students collided on the volleyball court for an exciting match this Tuesday. Laughter echoed through the air as students spiked, staff dove, and cheers resounded with every point scored. It was a fantastic way to end the year of 2023, fostering a sense of community and breaking down the traditional barriers between educators and students. Some great news from our graduates - Hitomi messaged me this morning, saying that she just got accepted by her first-choice university, Mount Holyoke College, with a USD$50,000 scholarship!! She is VERY happy, and I am SO proud of her. Thanks also to all the families who offered to support the students from Ukraine over the holidays. The students are looking forward to their first BC Winter Holiday and we know they will have an amazing time! As we bid farewell to 2023, it’s a moment to reflect on the incredible journey of learning and growth we have experienced together. Our students have shown remarkable dedication, and our staff have worked tirelessly to foster a positive and enriching educational environment. Let’s celebrate the achievements, both big and small, and look forward to the opportunities that the upcoming year will bring. Thank you to the entire school community for making 2023 a success! The first day back after the winter break is Monday, January 8th. I wish everyone a very happy holiday and see you in January!
