The 30th Anniversary Super Round is open for applications up to $100,000. Check out the funding guidelines, then submit your online application through the GCBF grants portal. Applications close 30 April 2024. Go Clubs Infrastructure GrantThe next round of the Go Clubs Infrastructure Assistance Grant will open in July. The Go Clubs Infrastructure Assistance Grant assists local sport, recreation, arts, culture and community organisations with the development of improved facilities. This grant aims to support renewed or upgraded community infrastructure that:

Need to raise awareness? Have a fundraiser or sign on day? Council provides the opportunity to assist community groups and organisations develop social cohesion and connection in the Cairns Region by offering complimentary stalls at the regular Tanks Markets and Carnival on Collins. Complimentary stalls are offered to not-for-profit organisations with a limited amount of stalls available at each Market. A market stall can be used for fundraising/awareness – from membership drives and club registrations to raffles and merchandise sales. ![]() NQ GamesCairns is set to host the largest multi-sport event in regional Australia from 3-6 May 2024, with more than 3,000 participants across 30 sports expected to attend. Cairns Regional Council and the North Queensland Sports Foundation (NQSF) have partnered to deliver the games. Reuse and RecycleMicro-recycling Textile and Apparel Hub (Opshop Project) Circulanation, a registered Australian charity, is requesting support for the development of a Textile Reuse and Recycling Hub in Cairns. The project is currently in the planning phase and requires land in the Cairns region to develop a business case. This case will support future investment in the construction and implementation phases of the project. They are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from landowners interested in exploring the potential of developing their land or upgrading existing assets to facilitate this project. The Textile Reuse and Recycling Hub aims to support the expansion of the Remote Op Shop Project – a sustainability initiative that benefits First Nations communities in remote Australia.
