Black History Month


Black History Month is celebrated annually during the month of February to acknowledge and celebrate the important contributions of Black Americans to the culture, history, and life of the US. The entire Pitt community is encouraged to actively participate in the celebration of Black History Month.   

To learn more about Black History Month, visit the Black History Month official website or the History Channel. For the meaning of terms such as African American, Black, BIPOC, and other important vocabulary, visit Pitt’s Office for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion’s glossary or this article by CBS News.

ELI IEP Student Library

The ELI has a small student library located on the Mezzanine floor outside of office M22 (Stacy’s Office). Current IEP students can borrow one book at a time for up to two weeks. Feel free to stop by and pick up a book for your spring reading!

Join a Pitt Student Intramural Sports Team!  Have fun and make new friends by joining a team and playing against other student teams at Pitt. There’s something for everyone – men, women, co-ed; badminton, esports, soccer, pickleball, golf, volleyball, and more!
