Charlene M. Russell-Tucker
Connecticut Commissioner of Education

Welcome to the latest edition of the CSDE Newsletter.

This newsletter features key efforts at the Connecticut State Department of Education. As your Commissioner of Education, I continue to be proud of the work the agency engages in, partnering with all our stakeholders, on behalf of students and educators in our state.

Recent important undertakings include, releasing the K-3 Literacy Plan and Webinar Series: Infinite Possibilities: Doing This Together, in addition to hosting the Commissioner’s Educator Roundtable and launching the Commissioner’s Superintendent Advisory Panel. The Department has announced the Commissioner’s Summer Math Challenge to support and enhance schools’ efforts to help every student access grade level content.

Enjoy the summer, a time for much-deserved relaxation with family and friends.

Be well!
