James T Bowse Health Trust Grants Awarded
Rutland Regional Medical Center's Bowse Health Trust committee announced funding for three important projects over the next three years to the following organizations. Companions In Wholeness: Caring for
Our Neighbors - serves people who are food insecure in the Rutland Region, including individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness. This project will provide further collaboration with partners like the Vermont Department of Health and the Rutland Free Clinic, who come to Companions In Wholeness to "meet people where they are" and provide needed services. Rutland County Free Clinic: Strengthening Capacity - provides access to care for the most vulnerable in our community. This funding will enable a registered nurse position at the Rutland Free Clinic, to support walk-in patients who will be given care or triaged and
referred to the appropriate services in our community. Rutland County Pride: Rutland County Pride Center - this transformative project is poised to advance health equity and ensure geographic access to comprehensive services for the LGBTQIA2S+ population in Southern Vermont. The funding will be used to offer a range of vital services, including the provision of safe and affirming space, mental health support groups, on-site healthcare services, and welcoming community events. Rutland County Free Clinic and Rutland County Pride are both CEDRR members. Learn more about the Bowse Health Trust Awards →

Help Come Alive Outside Brainstorm Adult Passport App Program Activities on 12/21 at 10 a.m.
Come Alive Outside (CAO) will launch several mobile-based passport programs for adults, teens, and families in 2024. The CAO staff would love your input on which activities, incentives, locations, populations, and questions they should include. For the January passport, CAO is aiming to engage folx in these programs who face high health inequities and have not felt included or welcome in outdoor recreation. Like everything CAO does, the activities, look and feel of the program will be joyful, and have many options for different interests, and to meet folx where they are
at when it comes to comfort and safety. Many of you work with individuals and/or have lived experience with health and outdoor inequity. CAO would be grateful for your partnership in sharing ideas for the upcoming passport and future passports. Please join Greg Horst, CAO's Adventure Advocate (via the Americorps VISTA program) on December 21 at 10 AM, via zoom, or add your ideas to this Jam board by December
22. Join zoom → Add to the Jam Board →
