Harpist Alice Giles, flautist Jonathan Henderson and violist James Wannan join forces in a programme centred around French music and contemporary composers.

The 2026 Young Virtuoso Award State Finals will be held on Sunday 18 October 2026 at the 2MBS Fine Music Sydney Studio.

For over thirty-five years, our Young Virtuoso Award has celebrated emerging classical talents, offering invaluable career opportunities and substantial prizes.

Applications are now open for the 2026 competition, with prizes including $3,000 for the winner, $1,000 for the runner-up, $500 Adjudicator Encouragement Award and a performance opportunity with the North Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

The winner will also represent 2MBS in the National Fine Music Award.

Spring Sessions at The Library
Manfredo Lament + DJ Attu

Enjoy an afternoon pipe organ recital in Annandale’s heritage Hunter Baillie Memorial Presbyterian Church.

World-renowned Philip Reichardt performs Bach and earlier masters through later Romantics on the church’s legendary 1890 Hill & Son organ, built by the same London firm as the Sydney Town Hall organ.

This 24-stop, three-manual instrument is one of the finest surviving Victorian organs in New South Wales: noble diapason chorus, colourful flutes and reeds, and a striking neo-Gothic case of burnished tin and carved timber. Recently restored, it sounds at its best in this generous acoustic.
