Co-branding with Te Pūkenga

Tālofa lava

As we move towards full transition with Te Pūkenga, you’ll start to notice Unitec's logo lockup appearing more and more alongside the national body’s brand.

Co-branding is an important step towards building trust and confidence in the future shape of vocational education delivery in Aotearoa for our students and communities. The simple act of sharing the Unitec and Te Pūkenga logos together will help to gain more awareness and understanding amongst our wider Unitec whānau of our journey as we transition to Te Pūkenga over the next few months.

Introducing co-branding at Unitec

Unitec will be moving towards co-branding in stages. The timeline above shares key dates and related workstreams.

Please note, a move to full brand transition is subject to consultation with key stakeholders and communities. There is also a process currently underway taking a tīkanga-based approach to taonga embedded within current subsidiary branding.

Our institute’s external webpage, the gateway to many students’ journeys with us, has been the first to feature a footer with Te Pūkenga logo.

Our marketing team is creating assets to support co-branding. We will have an email signature, a PowerPoint presentation template and other tools, as well as guidelines on how to use them, available for you in May.

Te Pūkenga FAQs

Alongside this, the communications team is developing a range of resources to help our people who engage key stakeholders to confidently carry the conversation co-branding will inevitably create about Te Pūkenga.

One of the key assets being brought together is a comprehensive Q & A document to be posted on the Unitec website and can be used by anyone and, in particular, our schools, UPC, industry partnerships, enrolments, student support and other externally facing teams who have regular contact with prospective students, their whānau, schools, community and industry partners.

We have brought together a Co-branding Reference Group to provide their insights. However, it’s important we give all staff the opportunity to contribute the questions they are hearing from their stakeholders. Please post these here.
