The CEDRR Business Show is Today!
Today is the Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region’s Business Show from 5-7 p.m. at the Rutland Recreation Community Center! This show is a great opportunity to meet other business owners and non-profit organization leaders to increase potential collaboration. The Rutland City Police Department (RCPD) will be hosting a series of community meetings. At these meetings, they will introduce attendees to a number of officers, including supervisors who have overall operational responsibility for each of our patrol sectors. RCPD will highlight current crime trends, present historical data, discuss challenges faced in each sector, and answer questions on public safety matters that concern the community. Each meeting will be hosted by a stakeholder within that respective sector. Real Rutland Concierge Program Update
We welcomed a new concierge volunteer to the Concierge Program this month. Alan Hochberg lives in East Wallingford with his wife Rebecca and son Max. He enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, cooking, gardening, stained glass, and aerobics. We also welcomed eight new people to the Rutland Region in March. Learn more about Real Rutland →

Do you know a high school senior graduating in 2024?
Rutland Young Professionals is committed to building a community that attracts and retains young professionals through the creation of social and professional networking opportunities. We are proud to live and work in the Rutland area and want to support the development of the next generation of young professionals in Vermont. RYP is offering a scholarship in the amount of $500 to two seniors graduating from a Rutland County high school, to be used toward post-secondary education or training being pursued in the State of Vermont. The T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined advanced training series is open to small businessowners and executives who: - Have annual revenues of at least $250,000
- Have been in business for at least three years
- Have at least one employee other than themselves
- Can commit to completing the entire program, including coaching, submitting assignments, participating during in-person sessions, and reaching out for help
- Are coachable, ready to be challenged and supported, and willing to
put in the necessary work to accelerate growth
Essential details about T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined: - Applications are open from February 5 to April 28, 2024
- The program runs from June 18 through December 4, 2024
- Attendance is required for the eight in-person sessions at your local cohort
Intro to CONNEC VT and the Supply Chain Optimization and Intelligence Network (SCION)
APRIL 16 | 2-3 PM | ONLINE | FREE Launched last summer, the Supply Chain Optimization and Intelligence Network (SCOIN) expands the MEP National Network’s scope from working primarily with individual companies to taking a more comprehensive approach to manufacturing supply chains. The initiative will help establish new MEP service offerings to provide manufacturers with what they need to improve existing supply chain networks and fill gaps in the supply chain. VMEC is the official representative of the MEP National Network in Vermont.
