About the Pharmacy Council of NSW
The Pharmacy Council of New South Wales manages complaints about the conduct, performance and health of registered pharmacists and pharmacy students in NSW. The Council also manages the regulation of pharmacy businesses in NSW.
The Project
The Pharmacy Council is seeking a Project Officer – Pharmacist to facilitate the implementation of the Council’s functions in accordance with the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW) by:
- assisting the Council to gain a broader understanding of the current compounding environment and emerging trends
- formulating strategies to address areas of concern related to compounding
- developing resources in response to identified areas of need related to compounding
- Liaising with relevant stakeholders in respect of compounding issues
You will have the following attributes:
- Current registration as a pharmacist in Australia and demonstrated professional experience in complex compounding with up to date knowledge of compounding practice standards and guidelines.
- Thorough knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework for health professions in Australia including the statutory responsibilities and functions of the Pharmacy Council.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- High level written and verbal communication, interpersonal, consultation, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to research and critically analyse issues, outline decision making and provide reports and high level advice.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team,
