MKE Coat Check Service Begins November 1

As the winter cold front moves closer, we know that lugging your big winter coat along throughout your travels is a hassle—especially when you’re flying somewhere warm. That’s why we’re once again offering our MKE Coat Check service starting November 1!

The coat check is conveniently located at the Summerfest Marketplace in the Main Terminal near the Airport Information Desk. All departing travelers can check their coats for just $2 per day, with a maximum charge of $10 per trip. Stay warm on your way to the airport without crowding your luggage. MKE Coat Check is available seven days a week, and is open until the final flight of the day arrives (even if there’s a delay!) ❄️🧥

Thanksgiving Holiday Travel Tips

With Thanksgiving just around the corner and family reunions awaiting, the airport holiday rush can be daunting. Here are a few tips to make for hassle-free Turkey Trotting:

1. Avoid the crowds: If possible, try and adjust your travel days to be on the off-peak days to skip the chaos. Avoid flying on Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the Sunday after your big feast.
2. Arrive Early: Make sure to arrive at least two hours before your flight and even earlier if you’re checking a bag.
3. Reserve Your Parking Spot: Download the MKESmartPark App and reserve parking ahead of time to guarantee your spot. The garage fills up quickly, especially if there’s snow in the forecast!
4. Picking up Loved Ones?: Use Hourly Parking to avoid congestion at the baggage claim roadway—your first 30 minutes are free 😉

Minimize Waste with MKE’s Water Refill Stations

We’ve all been there—you’re about to reach TSA and realize you have a full or partially full water bottle. Never fear! MKE has convenient stations near the checkpoint where you can empty your bottle before heading through security. Once you're through, fill your bottle at one of our Water Refill Stations located on both concourses. It’s an easy way to stay refreshed without contributing to plastic waste! 🌿✈️
