The resources have been developed from the best available research evidence on common misunderstandings in science, effective diagnostic questioning and formative assessment, constructivist approaches to building understanding, and effective sequencing of key concepts.

STEM Teacher in Residence Program – School Connections Pilot Project   

Keen to explore options to build a collaborative partnership with speciality STEM areas within the University of Adelaide’s Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences?

The STEM Teacher in Residence Program has been established to facilitate partnerships between secondary and tertiary educators with the aim of identifying innovative ways through which the University of Adelaide’s ground breaking research, academics and facilities can support and enhance STEM connected teaching and learning.

Aussie STEM Stars

The seventh book in the Aussie STEM Stars series - John Long: Fossil Hunter by award-winning author Danielle Clode is now available.

Each book in the Aussie STEM Stars series is written by an award-winning children’s author and celebrates the real life stories of some of Australia’s top scientists and inventors, chosen on the basis of their pioneering work. Written for children aged 10-13 years, themes explored in each book include childhood, school, family, and formative experiences, what inspired them to pursue their chosen path, how they persevered in the face of challenges, and their contribution to science all over the world. INGENUITY

The University of Adelaide will host INGENUITY their annual STEM connected expo on Tuesday, 26th October at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

INGENUITY is an interactive expo allowing visiting students and teachers to explore around 300 projects focusing on real life applications of STEM. Schools can register for free to bring along groups of students to either a Morning or Afternoon Session. Indigenous STEM Awards

You’re invited to help celebrate and showcase the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people studying and working in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields, as well as the integral role of teachers, schools and mentors play in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing STEM education and careers. There are 7 categories of Awards (more details available here).
