Click here Welcome to the Winter Edition of SPARKWelcome to the Winter 2024 edition of SPARK, the last from a year celebrating 40 years’ success and economic impact of University of Warwick Science Park and its community. The year our community grew to 150 companies with a number of existing resident members expanding on site, and our Ignite Alumni continued to grow to over 300 active members. Against the background of economic turbulence and the uncertainty of elections across the globe, our business community has barely missed a beat in its near constant innovation and growth. Nowhere was this more evident than when the FT and Statista Special Report identified UWSP, underpinned by its business support offer, as being one of the top 5% of start up hubs in Europe. The stories in this edition articulate that story of growth. Although we can only present a snapshot of the continued impact of the Park and its community on our region, the significant expansion automotive software manufacturer Embed, the double King’s Award win of Moasure, and the rise of a number of AI-powered businesses make this clear. Engagement by UWSP members with local schools and in creating work experience opportunities for Warwick students are similarly impactful. Our own project student Tiffany, showed how the benefit can be mutual as she set up a rolling customer satisfaction survey tool that is allowing us to listen to and gain insights from our tenants. As we close for the year, we reflect on another year of success, and look forward to an equally exciting year in 2025 as we prepare to celebrate the University of Warwick’s 60th anniversary and Minerva Business Angel’s 30th birthday. We invite you once again to join us!
