New EPIC subscription year begins next week

Next Tuesday 1 July is the start of the new 2025-2026 EPIC subscription year, so this is just a quick reminder to ensure that you are prepared:

If you have opted to take up a new subscription for the 2025-2026 subscription year, hopefully you have already been contacted directly by the vendor to set up your new subscription and you are either already set up or in the process of being set up.

If you haven’t been contacted by the vendor by the end of this week:

Double check your emails (including junk mail) to make sure you haven’t overlooked a set-up email, then:

contact me at epic@dia.govt.nz and I will follow up on your behalf, or
contact the vendor directly using the vendor contact details linked from the EPIC vendors page (and cc in epic@dia.govt.nz)

If you have cancelled subscriptions, please ensure that you remove all links and references that you have to the resource/s by 1 July as they will quickly become dead links.

Next steps

As outlined in the Annual EPIC subscription timeline section of EPIC – a guide for member libraries, I will email out sub-licence agreement renewals for counter-signing to EPIC member primary contacts in mid-July. The email will also include confirmation of your NZ$ invoice total and a request for a purchase order number for invoicing (if applicable). This will then be followed by invoicing in late July / early August.

Finbally, this is just a quick reminder that you don’t need to wait for the annual subscription confirmation process to set up new subscription options through EPIC. You can set-up a new subscription through EPIC at any time during the year.
