Protein Processor Executive Forum: Connect with us to receive an invitation to ProteinMB’s Executive Forum, hosted at CME 200-1479 Buffalo Place on June 17. This forum is designed for protein processors to network, address challenges and opportunities, explore available resources, and co-create events and services that foster growth. INDUSTRY NEWS Dive into the latest news and trends shaping our industry! Advancing Sustainability: FLW Project and Benchmarking Efforts: In collaboration with Value Chain Management International and Second Harvest, Manitoba Agriculture partnered in a Food Loss Waste (FLW) project in 2019, assessing FLW across the entire value chain. Second Harvest is now preparing to benchmark Canadian Food Loss Waste against estimates from 2019, while also quantifying the associated GHG emissions and water footprint. Your participation is vital to this endeavor! If your business or organization operates in Canada, we invite you to take part in a survey designed to gather crucial data for this analysis. Career Viewbook Collaboration: ProteinMB and Canadian Manufacture’s and Exporters Manitoba ProteinMB recently partnered with Canadian Manufacture’s and Exporters Manitoba to create a Career Viewbook, showcasing exciting opportunities in the Manufacturing sector emphasizing the link to the Protein sector. This initiative highlights the diverse and rewarding career paths available within these industries. CASPP Funding Opportunity for Not-for-Profit Organizations The Canadian Agricultural Strategic Priorities Program (CASPP) is currently accepting applications from not-for-profit organizations to support projects addressing national or sector-wide priorities within the agriculture and agri-food sectors. Eligible projects stand to receive cost-shared funding of up to $1 million per project, totaling $5 million over 5 years, through a combination of repayable and non-repayable contributions. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit CASPP's website for detailed information. Research Connections Grant Program Launched by Research Manitoba Research Manitoba is offering funding opportunities for Manitoba-based research events. This grant reflects Research Manitoba’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange within Manitoba’s research community. The Research Connections grant is designed to support events that create skill development opportunities, facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, promote research findings to the public, and connect researchers with potential industry partners.
