May 2021 Newsletter

Welcome to the latest edition of our Quarterly newsletter.  As always there are plenty of items to update you on since our last one.

The first item to discuss is our Solid Edge and NX University events.  These were delivered over March and April and were very well attended with between 75 and 130 attendees at each event.

The feedback had been very positive and the content from these events is available at the following link.  All of the events were virtual events and we believe this worked well with our customers busy schedules.

Whereas we had held Solid Edge University events in person previously, this year marked the inaugural NX University.  We look forward to many more and welcome your feedback and input as we plan next year’s events.

While we are on the topic of virtual events, look out for announcements coming on our Simcenter webinar series.  This will be produced in coordination with Siemens PLM and will showcase the industry leading analysis technology.

Introducing Smart3D

Designfusion is excited to announce the addition of the Smart3D printers to our additive lineup.  These industrial FDM printers offer an affordable way to scale from an individual prototyping printer up to a volume manufacturing solution.  Each of these printers offer a large build envelope of 13.8x13.8x15.7 in a heated chamber supporting an unmatched range of materials including ABS, PA6, PA12, PETG, PEEK, PP Carbon Fiber, PLA, and TPU.  Production units provide 4 separate beds ready to print simultaneously. Dare to compare part quality, speed, and cost against your current machines to see how dramatic an impact we can make.

NEW Online Training Courses

Check out our library of online training, we continue to add classes on a weekly and monthly basis.

NX Essentials for Designers

At the completion of Essentials for NX Designers the student will productively develop solid models, detail drawings, and product assemblies. The class introduces assembly modeling in the context of a real-life scenario that includes parts modeled by the student as well as part models that have already been created. This reinforces the student's understanding of the flexibility of the solid modeling and assembly tool as it can be applied in the real world of product development collaboration.

Solid Edge Advanced Modeling

Students will have learned how to use advanced features in sketching, part modeling, and sheet metal modeling. They will have a working knowledge of curve creation and surface modeling. This knowledge will improve their overall modeling skills allowing them to become more efficient and effective in their design work.

As always, Designfusion is here to help you maximize your productivity, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out.
