Product Update: CS-TOP - Vertical Carton/Case Top Sealer
The CS-TOP top sealer allows lines to run efficiently and accommodate customers' future needs. It can run both cartons and RSC cases on the same machine. The top sealer also features all-servo changeover to provide machine changeovers in less than a minute. The changeovers are also repeatable, reducing operators' dependency to complete changeovers. The top sealer has a robust frame for 24/7 operation and an Allen Bradley controls package. A Nordson DuraBlue adhesive system is standard on the system.
Product Update: A retrofit to run 700 pouches a minute off a cutting system interfaced with a cartoner (Video ID: 488)
AFA Systems completed a retrofit to connect a Siebler pouch cutting system with an AFA HD-LSP - Heavy Duty Linear Servopack Autoload Cartoner. AFA engineering formulated buckets to easily interface with the cutting system to deliver pouches to the infeed system at 700 per minute. The cartoner then used a special infeed system to collate the pouches on edge or lay flat, and then end-load them into erected cartons. The system loads multiple cartons per cycle to achieve carton speed rates of over 100 cartons per minute. The system then completes bottom gluing via the Nordson ProBlue Flex adhesive system and top tuck via an AFA tucking mechanism.

The VC-IMC - Vertical Cartoner is an excellent solution for your automated fastener packaging line. The vertical cartoner can run carton depths as small as 1.5". The cartoner features servo-driven length adjustment, saving your operators time during changeover. The cartoner can reach speeds of up to 45 cartons per minute. A servo-driven vertical rotary feeder with a prebreak mechanism positively opens cartons onto the main carrier chain conveyor. AFA tucking mechanisms efficiently close the bottom and top of the carton during operation. The vertical cartoner can easily integrate with bowl feeders to load fasteners, small-wrapped products, and more.
