Research spotlight

NCCRED drives innovation and builds clinical research capacity through an internal program of clinical research as well as a grants and seed funding program, higher education scholarships program and research fellowships program.

Check out our most recent research highlights:

Strengthening first line telehealth

This study presents the results of a training needs analysis conducted with staff from Australian Alcohol and Other Drug telephone helplines.
These helplines take over 100,000 calls annually in regards to Methamphetamine and Emerging Drugs of Concern.

The role of technology in Methamphetamine Treatment

NCCRED supported mini review finds that technologically assisted interventions for methamphetamine use were most useful for people not already linked with treatment; future research will also explore how technology can be best integrated with existing treatment.
