University of Warwick Science Park's Newsletter No images? Click here Welcome to the Autumn Edition of SPARKNormally a time of reflection, Summer 2024 continued building a momentum of change, growth, and innovation within the UWSP community. This newsletter curates some of the many ways we’ve celebrated new members joining, existing members successes in innovation and export, and the ripples of economic impact as tech-driven businesses graduate from UWSP into the wider region. Examples of this impact include: The growth of EV charging company FusionTech in Stratford, and Rugby-based data analytics firm Metryx supported by Business Ready; success of double King’s Award Winners Moasure supported by our Warwick Innovation Centre and Ignite Teams; and the relaunch of pharmaceutical firm Komtur at our Binley Innovation Centre. The impact and continued excellence of UWSP’s business support offering was recognised by the University of Warwick when the Vice Chancellor presented the team with a coveted WOW Award. The growing vibrancy of our community was clear as more than 120 colleagues from member companies, regional support organisations, and UWSP Chair, Greg Clark came together for our first Venture Centre and Scale Space barbeque in September. In the coming quarter we will celebrate the UKSPA 40th Anniversary, the launch of our Business Lounge Network for non-resident members, and the refurbishment of the café at the Venture Centre. Increasingly, the question of how exciting the rest of 2024 will be and more about the momentum UWSP will take into 2025. I very much look forward to us sharing that with you and hope that in the meantime you will enjoy reading this edition of SPARK.
