Christmas Jumper Day & Christmas Baking

On Thursday 11 and Friday 12 December, all staff and children are invited to wear their Christmas jumpers and donate £1 to raise money for Save the Children.

Children from Pre-School 1, 2, and 3 will be decorating Christmas cookies with the chef on both days.

Cinema Visit

On Monday 15 December, children from the Nurseries and Pre-Schools will visit the Bowland Main lecture theatre to watch “The Snowman”.

Parents of Nursery & Pre-School children not attending the morning session may join at 10am.

Christmas Party Day

Christmas Party Day for the whole Centre will take place on Tuesday 16 December.

Parents are invited to the Crèche and Baby Room Christmas parties.

Harvey Rush will entertain the Nursery and Pre-School children.

If your child is not usually in attendance but you wish for them to attend (and stay with them), please notify your child’s room by Monday 8 December.

All children will receive a party lunch box. Parents of children not normally attending will be invoiced in January for the party box.

A reminder for parents to complete the Christmas Party Invite. The deadline to submit the reply is 1pm, 10 December 2025.

Party Times

Baby Room: 10.30am – 11.30am

Crèche 1 and 2: 10.45am – 12.45pm

Nurseries and Pre-Schools: 10.30am – 1.00pm

Elf Walk

On Wednesday 17 December, all children and staff will take part in an Elf Walk to raise funds for St John’s Hospice.

Parents of Pre-School children may join the walk at any Elf Station around campus, or at the beginning from Pre-School, ending the walk at Marketplace for lunch where parents can join their child/ren for lunch.

Nursery and Crèche children will participate in an Elf Stomp on-site. Parents are welcome to stay for lunch with their child at Pre-School.

A reminder for parents wishing to join their child for lunch at either The Marketplace or the Pre-School Centre to complete the booking form.

Volunteers are welcome to help with the Elf Train or the Nursery and Crèche Elf Stomp.

Christmas Lunch

A traditional Christmas lunch will be served on Thursday 18 December for attending children.

Christmas Foyer

This year’s foyer theme is Percy the Park Keeper.

Each child has received a wooden animal to decorate for the display.

Can we please request that your child’s decoration is returned to their room no later than 5 December.

Father Christmas

We are seeking a volunteer to play Father Christmas at the Pre-School Party on Tuesday 16 December from 11.00am – 12.30pm in the Baby Room and Crèche.

Pre-School Closure

The Centre will close at 5.30pm on Tuesday 23 December and reopen on Monday 5 January 2026.
