This support would be provided through the newly formed SHF Research and Industry Collaborations Committee previously known as the Australian Sleep and Alertness Consortium. This committee represents the legacy group of experts with collective expertise in industry research and partnership built throughout the Cooperative Research Centre for Alertness, Safety and Productivity (the Alertness CRC). A key aspect of these new ARC fellowships is that the applicants must partner and work directly with a key industry partner spending at least 20% of their time working directly with the key industry partner. Additional supporting partners are also allowed. The key support SHF can offer early career investigators includes: · High level feedback on project proposal objectives and industry need · Help matching industry partners aligned with proposal objectives · Connecting applicants with the right partners · SHF can be a supporting partner on the application when advocacy and translation activities are important outcomes (Note: depending on the level of support needed the cost will need to be factored into the proposal budget) o Includes letter of support. o Access to the SHF consumer reference council o On-going partner relation management
