🌸Te Maeva Nui 2025 The Generator Newsletter Issue 35 Te Maeva Nui 2025: 60 years Strong
Junior Napara’s drums - the heartbeat of Manihiki at #TeMaevaNui2025! Powered by The Generator and Cook Islands leadership, Junior Napara leads with culture, creativity, and mahi toi. He handcrafted drums and ukuleles, gifted them to the Manihiki group, and inspired youth through music and mentorship. His custom logo, designed by Lloyd Matiu Whiri and engraved by Mark Lang, shows how mahi toi fuels healing, identity, and growth. Junior successfully led the Manihiki group at The Generator National Awards & presented an award he personally crafted. Click HERE to watch the video of Junior handcrafting the instruments.
