Open Day has come and gone and the uni has been bustling!

There's not much to say this week, other than there being a lot of awesome opportunities, events and more happening for students, including paid opportunities for photographers, heaps of Ecoversity and sustainability events, free vegan nachos, and plenty more!

Did you know Student Life Counselling Support provide free, confidential, short term professional counselling for all current students? You don't need a mental health care plan and you can speak to the team about any issue that might be bothering you! Learn more and register on the Counselling website.

Has maths turned up in your courses?
Whenever maths appears in one of your courses, you're welcome to visit the Maths Learning Centre to talk about it. Drop in between 10am and 4pm on weekdays (Adelaide time), and a tutor will come to you. We’ll talk with you about your maths and help you become more confident.

Uni Health Practice update
Whilst University Health Practice continues to have significant challenges in managing the gap between the costs to provide high quality health care and government-aligned rebates, we have decided to reverse the decision about charging a gap to Medicare-eligible University of Adelaide students, pending further discussions with the University and other stakeholders.

Peer Assisted Study Sessions – bring a friend and get a free coffee voucher!
Bring a friend to Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) in week 5 and receive a free coffee voucher each, while improving your understanding of course content and achieving your academic goals in a supported environment. PASS is for everyone, so check out the timetable, come along and have a coffee on us!

New student? Remember to complete the Academic Integrity Module
All commencing students are required to complete a 30-minute Academic Integrity Module which contains important information about the standards expected in academic work, as well as key skills you need to learn to work with integrity. The deadline to complete the module has been extended to 26 August. Learn more.

Come visit the Writing Centre for a writing consultation! We support all coursework students through any stage of the writing process – from initial idea to final revision and everything in between. You can book a 30-minute, one-on-one consultation with a friendly Learning Advisor via the Writing Centre website.

Regenerating Australia
5:45pm, 24 August - Braggs Theatre
Join us for a screening of this fictional short film set on New Year's Eve of December 2029, looking back at the decade 'that could be’. A decade seeing Australia transition to a fairer, cleaner, more community focused economy. The screening will be followed by a live discussion with the film's award winning director, author and presenter, Damon Gameau and Professor Andy Lowe, Director of the Environment Institute.

Exploring musical instruments using digital technologies

Hear about projects using digital technologies to research musical instruments! This includes adaptation of instruments for professional musicians with disabilities, 3D scanning of Indigenous instruments from museum collections to explore structure and sound, and 3D digitisation of traditional Indonesian instruments for preservation. Panel discussion - War on Healthcare Waste

Come join us during Sustainability week for our panel discussion! Listen as great speakers talk about their experiences in healthcare, and the initiatives that have been started across South Australia to reduce waste.
